The name was chosen because on this hill there used to be many Gamal trees that were used by residents to feed livestock such as cows, goats, and pigs. Many residents around here work as farmers, and they come to this place every day to look for Gamal trees to feed their livestock. One day, a tourist came to this place while trekking in Nusa Penida. He saw the hill, which was green and lush, and took a photo and uploaded it to the internet. Many people felt that the view of the hill was similar to the hill in the children’s movie Teletubbies, so this place became known as Teletubbies Hill.
